Freelance Content Writing

There’s more to me than fiction – who’d have thought?

Anyway, if you’re here, you know that content and copy is important. It helps with SEO, authority, engagement, conversions, and more. I’ve seen content fall down the list of priorities for businesses countless times – until they realise just how important it is.

Maybe you want your website to rank better, or you want to impress on your audience what you stand for, what pain points you address, or show the benefits of your product or service. Whatever it is, content does it.

And that’s where I come in.

Simply, I create written content for businesses that’s optimised for SEO while offering value to users – without using AI.

There is no point in bringing people to a page if they leave straight away because they didn’t find what they’re looking for. Likewise, creating great content that no one finds is often a waste of time.

You need that balance.

I strike that balance in the content I create.

Content writing packages

From working with businesses over the years, I’ve picked up a thing a two. Efficiency and simplicity can make all the difference, and that’s why I’ve created four packages that may meet your needs:

  • A freelance content writing package called "Plug 'n' play", listing deliverables, and what both parties will provide.

If you want something tailored, though, I can work with you to make sure you get the content you’re looking for.

What else can I do?

While the packages focus on blog and landing page content, there’s so many different types of content to choose from. I’m a huge fan of long-form blog content and evergreen content, for example, so those are options.

Content strategies and audits can also be done independently if you want an external view of things.

If you like the look of one of the packages above, but want to add to them, I’m happy to discuss that with you. The same goes for customised bundles of content that meet your particular needs.

Here’s a list of options we can discuss depending on your needs and goals:

  • Blogs
  • Long-form blogs
  • Evergreen content
  • Landing pages
  • Case studies
  • Thought leadership pieces
  • FAQ/Help sections
  • Product descriptions
  • Content audits
  • Content strategies
  • Keyword research
  • On-page optimisations

Why work with me?

Okay, this is the section about me. If you’re already convinced, or would rather hear from others, feel free to skip on by.

I promise, I won’t be offended (much).

Anyway. I’m Dave, an author and freelance content writer living in Manchester, UK.

For more than a decade, I’ve been working in content, often SEO content but not always. I’ve spent time in digital agencies, in-house roles, and doing bits of freelance work here and there until diving into the freelance world properly. In 2018, I moved to Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand for over three years and worked in those countries, learning new ways of working and audiences.

Even with my travels, I’ve worked with B2C and B2B companies across the world. One of my skills is understanding your audience and what they want from you. Combine this with my SEO knowledge and my creative flair and storytelling skills, and you’ve got a freelance writer that adapts to different tones and audiences as needed.

Storytelling? I’ve written four novels (with more on the way). They cross genres and audiences. Believe me, I can do it.

Are you looking for a boost to your keywords, or do you want to showcase your brand, expertise, and authority?

I can help.

Don’t take my word for it

I could wax lyrical all day – and believe me, I would. Writing is my jam, after all.

But, you’ll probably find it more useful to hear from some of the people I’ve worked with in the past:

If you'd like examples of what I've done, I can sort that - or maybe you'd prefer a trial for something more relevant?
