Starting fresh

Welcome to my new-look website!

It’s been a journey and a half to get here, and this is really just the start of it. I’m finally ready to take the next step, a step many of you know I’ve been talking about for the last few years – if not longer.

That meant a clear out of everything that’d come before and getting things set up. Some of those old posts are still useful, so expect to see them reworked, updated and refreshed in the future along with some brand-new posts.

I’ll still be going into the nitty-gritty of writing, and with pages like writing exercises to give people some extra tools to improve their skills, as well as putting more of a focus on the projects I’m working on, which leads me to…

My first novel is called Reality Check

I’ve been sitting on this for a while now – in a few ways.

Plenty of you will know this novel has been in the works for about six years now (at least in its current form). It’s gone through a few name changes, and it’s taken a few turns that weren’t planned, but this is now the first of a sci-fi trilogy and I’m really excited at where it’s at.

Last year, I got off my ass and hired an editor.

This year, I’ve hired a proof-reader and designers. This is actually happening!

I’m hoping to have it ready for release before the end of 2021. When I get a firm date, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Reality Check, the first novel in the Weight of the World trilogy, isn’t far away, and work is already underway on book two – and book three!

Follow me on social media

If there’s one area I’ve ben particularly lax on, it’s been social media.

The profiles are there, and I’m slowly – SLOWLY – try to get myself more active with them, but this is a work in progress.

I’m not going to linger or dwell on these, but you can keep up with me on Facebook and Twitter, or both if you’d prefer.

That said, there is a better way to keep up with me…

Join my mail list to get Introductions: Vol I

Before you can get Reality Check, however, something else is coming your way.

I’ve been working on a collection of short stories to introduce you to me, my writing style and the projects I’m working on. It’s called Introductions: Vol I.

There are four distinct ‘sections’ of this collection, and the first three are related to upcoming projects. The stories in the first section, for example, take place in the world of Reality Check. This makes it the best way to meet some of the characters.

Do you know what’s even better? It’s FREE.

Yup, free. All you have to do to get your ebook is sign up to my newsletter – with more information on the page – but you can also use the form at the end of this post. I won’t fill your inbox all the time, but I’d really love for you to join me on this journey.

On top of the short stories, you’ll be the first to hear about how my projects are going and when they’ll be released – and how you can get them.

I’m really excited for you to read these stories, so I hope to jump into your inbox in just a little while!

Use the form below to sign up to the newsletter, and you’ll get your free ebook of Introductions: Vol I when it launches.
